KLEJA, Center for historical thinking, is non-governmental organization. KLEJA carries out research, consultation and professional development in the field of history teaching and learning and in cooperation with history teachers, researchers, organizations and institutions.
MISSION
To encourage and promote non-partisan professional cooperation among history teachers, researchers and their organizations as well as governmental institutions.
VISION
History teaching and learning in Lithuania meets international standards for 21st century education and is guided by democratic values and societal expectations.
AIMS
1. To observe, research and assess state of history teaching and learning in Lithuania.
2. To observe and examine trends in history teaching and learning in international and national educational systems abroad.
3. To create, collect and share "know-how" in history teaching and learning in Lithuania and abroad.
4. To promote and support professional development in the field of history teaching and learning.
